La FLC CGIL sostiene le lotte dei docenti delle scuole private in Turchia

La FLC CGIL sostiene e supporta senza remore le battaglie degli altri sindacati europei dell’Istruzione, sia dei settori pubblici che di quelli privati.

In questi giorni, due dirigenti della Private Sector Teachers Union, un sindacato turco dei settori privati, che lavorano nella Özel Evrim Okulları (Private Evrim Schools), sono stati minacciati di licenziamento solo per avere richiesto di portare il salario degli insegnanti di quella scuola a quello che è considerato per la Turchia il livello statistico della povertà, cioè 10.000 Lire.

A oggi infatti il salario è di 8.500 lire e a niente sono servite tutte le richieste formali e informali di aumento.

Le scuole sono una comunità sociale e i docenti sono sostenuti dagli studenti, dai loro genitori e dal sindacato.

La FLC CGIL sosterrà in ogni luogo le battaglie dei docenti in Turchia per un salario decente e si opporrà a ogni forma di repressione in ogni modo, per un’istruzione di qualità e basata su valori democratici e per la difesa dei diritti sindacali.

The FLC CGIL supports the struggles of public school teachers in Turkey

The conditions denounced by the Turkish trade unions are serious: teachers' salaries are often below the poverty line.

The FLC CGIL unreservedly supports and backs the battles of the other European education unions, both in the public and private sectors.

In recent days, two leaders of the Private Sector Teachers Union, a Turkish private sector union, who work in the Özel Evrim Okulları (Private Evrim Schools), were threatened with dismissal just for demanding that the salary of the teachers in that school be brought down to what is considered the statistical poverty level for Turkey, i.e. 10,000 liras.

As of today, in fact, the salary is 8,500 liras and all formal and informal requests for an increase have been to no avail.

Schools are a social community and teachers are supported by the students, their parents, and the union.

The FLC CGIL will support the teachers' battles in Turkey everywhere for a decent salary and will oppose all forms of repression in every way, for quality education based on democratic values and for the defense of trade union rights.
